Every now and again I get what we call a "no show". That is, someone who forgets that we were coming that day to clean their carpets. Or they have an appointment come up and they have to cancel. At times like these, it would be great if I had a pool of people that I could call and say "Hey Mrs X, I'm in your area today/tomorrow and I've just had a cancellation. I can come and clean your carpet(s) instead if that's O.K." What's in it for you? Well, you get your carpet cleaned at 40% off my regular prices just for being so flexible. What's in it for me? It means that my machine is kept working instead of sitting idle for an hour or two until the next appointment. If my machine stops, it means it's costing me money and not earning me any.
